Frequently Asked Questions for Massage & Holistic Therapies

What is the optimum number of Natural Face Lift Massages to have to see a significant difference in my face?

You will see a difference straightaway. However, to get a real face lift effect, I’d recommend a course of between 6 and 12 sessions. It varies according to the individual, some people respond more quickly than others. If you are looking to see real facial improvement then I’d suggest starting with 6 sessions and then we can see the difference it has made. You will have a photo taken before the start of the first massage and after the sixth so you can see how far you have come. Then you can decide whether you’ve reached a level you’re happy with and want to switch to a maintenance programme.

How often should I have a Natural Face Lift massage?

Most people taking a course of massages have them once a week. For a more immediate impact you can have two massages each week, evenly spread. You can also have the massages spread further apart (for example fortnightly), but of course it will take longer for the wonderful effects to be seen!

Once you’ve had the initial course, we’ll move the frequency of the massages to maintain the face lift effects, and this can be anything from fortnightly to monthly treatments – whatever suits you.

If you just want to use the massage for stress-relief and relaxation then just book in as and when you feel you need to. Of course, a regular visit will always give the best results because of its cumulative effect.

I use botox and fillers – can I have a Natural Face Lift Massage?

It is not adviseable to a Natural Face Lift Massage if you have had botox or fillers during the last three months.

As botox paralyses the muscles, they cannot be improved with massage until the botox lessens over time. The muscles that have received botox (usually the forehead) can be avoided and the rest of your face will still benefit. And remember you will still enjoy the deep relaxation of the massage.

Fillers present a different problem. There is a small possibility that massaging over the area could cause small lumps to form. The area of filler can be avoided or wait until it has broken down naturally in the body.

Is this a treatment for older women?

You are never too young or too old to enjoy a Natural Face Lift Massage. Clients in their 40s, 50s and 60s will see the most change in lines, wrinkles and muscle tone.

However, the massage is also a preventative measure which slows down the signs of aging and is a very worthwhile treatment for clients in their late 20s and 30s.

I have treated clients in their 70s and 80s. The benefits for them are more about relaxation and well-being. Full body massage can be too exerting as you get older, not to mention the effort of getting dressed and undressed. With the Natural Face Lift Massage you can experience all the health giving effects of a holistic massage without the fuss. Just take off your shoes, lie down and relax.

I am having treatment for cancer – is it OK to have a holistic massage?

Yes. It’s not only safe but positively beneficial.  The complementary therapy unit at Christies Hospital,  Macmillans Cancer Support and others encourage gentle massage for cancer patients as being safe and nurturing. Massage helps keep people as well as possible for as long as possible and improves the immune system.

Because the Natural Face Lift Massage is so gentle it particularly helpful for cancer patients.

I have worked with clients who have breast cancer and they have found the treatment calming and a real boost to the way they feel about themselves. It helps to look good and feel as relaxed as possible when going through difficult times.
